117 Proof Blind Challenge

Friends, this pour had me guessing — and for once, I nailed it. I called rye, 4–7 years old, 110–120 proof, and U.S. origin. Nailed all four. The reveal? Stock Exchange Club of Los Angeles Private Reserve Straight Rye. Mashbill: 77% rye, 20% pink corn, 3% blue corn Age: 5 years Proof: 117.8 (58% ABV) This one’s bold, spicy, and right in my wheelhouse. I’m a rye guy, I love higher proof, and I love a whiskey that can fight back. Overall, I’m giving it a solid 4 out of 5. If you can track down the Stock Exchange Club Private Reserve Rye, give it a try — it’s worth the pour. 👉 Call to Action: Join me and the GolfCask Nation as we explore whiskey, golf, and cigars.
